Jordan Clarkson's NBA Journey
From Los Angeles to Utah
Jordan Clarkson is an American professional basketball player for the Utah Jazz of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers with the 46th overall pick in the 2014 NBA draft. Clarkson played for the Lakers for four seasons before being traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2018. He spent one season with the Cavaliers before being traded to the Jazz in 2019. Clarkson has established himself as a valuable contributor for the Jazz, averaging 18.4 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game in the 2022-23 season.
Prior to his NBA career, Clarkson played college basketball for Tulsa. He was named American Athletic Conference Player of the Year in 2014 after leading the Golden Hurricane to the NCAA Tournament. Clarkson is known for his scoring ability and his versatility on the offensive end of the court. He is also a solid defender, and he has been named to the NBA All-Defensive Second Team twice.
Clarkson has represented the United States in international competition. He was a member of the gold medal-winning team at the 2014 FIBA Americas Championship.
