Novak Djokovic Returns to Action at Monte-Carlo Masters

Djokovic Misses Miami Open, Returns After Title Wins in 2013 and 2015

Novak Djokovic made his winning return to action on Tuesday at the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters, after missing the Miami Open. Djokovic won the Monte Carlo title in 2013 and 2015. The Olympic Games Paris 2024 will be on the minds of the best men's tennis players this coming week, as the Monte Carlo Masters is the first big clay tournament leading up to the French Open in the summer.

Djokovic's Low Expectations for Clay-Court Season

Djokovic will kick off his clay-court season with his expectations low, but he insists he is ready to give it his all. "I'm not going to put any pressure on myself," said Djokovic. "I'm just going to go out there and try to play my best tennis. I know that I'm not the favorite, but I'm going to give it my all." Djokovic's return to action comes after he missed the Miami Open due to a rib injury. He is currently ranked No. 1 in the world.
