James Rodriguez scores twice

James Rodriguez scored twice, including a stunning volley, to lead Colombia to a 2-0 victory over Uruguay in the round of 16 at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

Colombia will now face Brazil in the quarterfinals on in Fortaleza.

Rodriguez opened the scoring in the 28th minute with a left-footed volley from outside the box. The goal was reminiscent of the one he scored against Japan in the group stage, and it gave Colombia a 1-0 lead.

Rodriguez doubled the lead in the 50th minute with a penalty kick after Edinson Cavani was called for a handball in the box. The goal gave Colombia a 2-0 lead, and they held on to win the match.
