Colin Farrell Launches Foundation for Intellectual Disabilities in Honor of Son

Giving Back to Families Like His Own

Farrell's 20-Year-Old Son James Has Angelman Syndrome, a Rare Neurogenetic Condition

Irish actor Colin Farrell has launched a foundation dedicated to supporting people with intellectual disabilities and their families. The foundation was inspired by Farrell's 20-year-old son, James, who has Angelman syndrome, a rare neurogenetic condition.

"I want to make sure that other families who are going through what we are going through have the support they need," Farrell said. "This foundation is a way for us to give back and help make a difference in the lives of people with intellectual disabilities and their loved ones."

The foundation will provide a range of programs and services, including educational support, therapy, and respite care. It will also work to raise awareness of intellectual disabilities and advocate for policies that support people with these conditions.

"We are so grateful to Colin Farrell for starting this foundation," said Mary Murphy, the mother of a child with Angelman syndrome. "This is a much-needed resource for families who are facing the challenges of raising a child with intellectual disabilities."
