Belgian Grand Prix Sprint Results 2023

Max Verstappen Wins Belgian GP Sprint

In a race delayed by rain, Max Verstappen emerged victorious from the Formula 1 Sprint at the Belgian Grand Prix.

Verstappen, starting from pole position, held off a challenge from Ferrari's Carlos Sainz to win the 21-lap race. The Red Bull driver now holds a five-point lead over Sainz in the drivers' championship.

Verstappen's victory was his second in a row, and he will now start from pole position in Sunday's main race. Sainz will start second, with Sergio Perez of Red Bull third. The rain-affected race was delayed by more than an hour, and the safety car was deployed on two occasions. However, Verstappen was able to maintain his lead throughout the race, and he crossed the line 1.4 seconds ahead of Sainz.

The Belgian Grand Prix is the 12th round of the 2023 Formula 1 season. Verstappen has won seven races this season, while Sainz has won three. The championship is still very much in contention, and Sunday's main race promises to be a thrilling battle between the two drivers.

Conclusion

The Formula 1 Sprint has been a welcome addition to the weekend format, and it has added an extra element of excitement to the Belgian Grand Prix. Verstappen's victory has given him a significant advantage in the championship, but Sainz will be determined to close the gap in Sunday's main race.
